Prof. Dr. Stefan Felder
The professorship in health economics was endowed in 2010 by Interpharma, the association of the Swiss research-based pharmaceutical industry.
The professorship focuses on the regulation of healthcare and health insurance markets. Current research topics include value-based healthcare in inpatient care, bottlenecks in pharmaceutical markets, determining the population's preferences with regard to Covid-19 regulation and the effect of ambiguity aversion on physicians' treatment and testing decisions.
Courses at the bachelor's and master's level include health economics, health insurance, health care provider reimbursement, health services assessment, and medical decision making.

Prof. Dr. Armando N. Meier
We conduct research in the fields of health, behavioral and labor economics using large data sets, experiments and machine learning. We collaborate with researchers in the US and Europe, including Columbia University, Lund University, the University of Chicago, and the University of Copenhagen, and have published articles in leading scientific journalssuch as Nature, Science,American Economic Journal: Applied Economics, Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Health Economics, andEuropean Economic Review.
Our teaching of health economics forms an integral part of the curriculum at both bachelor's and master's level.
The research group is headed by Prof. Dr. Armando Meier.
